A FAREWELL SOCIAL.
An enjoyable dance and farewell social was held in Mr T. A Duncan's woolshed at Otai r i on Satur day evening, the occasion being a farewell to Mr Percy Way, who goes into camp next weKk. supper interval Mr Lyon presented the young soldier with a hundsome inscribed wristlet watch as a mark of the esteem in which he was held by his fellow employee's. Mr P. Way suitably replied, stating that ha Avon Id try to uphold his end of the stick. Mr Webb supplied the music for the dance, and also entertained the assemblage with gramaphoue selections Mr Atkinson ni'de an efficient M.O. Supprr was supplied by the ladies, and the singing of "For he's a Jolly Good Fellow," and "Auld Lang Syne," brought the proceedings to close.
