A GOOD SAFE LIGHT.

IN EVERY COUNTRY HOME. la the same way that it is absolutely necessary for a motor car to be fitted with an efficient carburetter, so in an air gas generator the provision for vapourising the- benzoline is of the utmost importance.. 'I he old idea was to drip the benzoline upon gauze or wicks and trust to the intake of air to do the vapourising. The action of vapourising being more difficult in cold weather or in sea air, it was necessary to increase the liow of benzoline to obtain the riylit mixture of gas, but the proportion of benzoline that could not bo- vapourised was simply thrown off as residue or waste. This also meant continual readjusting of the petrol feed with, the changes of weather. All this difficulty lias been overcome by the genuine carburettor of the Crescent sir gas machine. The $$ TSSW99 trouble lias been entirely eliminated, Off; 1 . tl’T mixture is the same in all weathers—air 07 per cent., benzoliueO percent. The. machine is set true at the factory and heeds no further adjusting. .The Orescent features other distinctive advantages, such a» the self-contti-dlcd pressure according to the gis required 'from time to time to drive engines or for cooking and illumination. Thus there is no undue pressure on mantles,- and no fOregulating of burners, which items of annoyance were always present with the old back-pressure device. The machine is bolted together, not soldered ; there is absolutely nothing to get out of order, and no mechanical mystery. Fill the metal compartment with benzoline, wind up a weight once daily, and the machine docs all the rest. When ‘you require a light, simply press the button as in electric light. The gas is so safe that 50 lights have been installed at the Commonwealth Cordite Factory in preference to every other illuminant, and entire townships have been successfully equipped with Crescent gas.

Those out of reach of a city service can have all the same comforts at an even lower cost of running Further details with pleasure from Bowick and Foacock, Huuterville; Fitzgerald and Hobbs, Feilding; E. Cawthray, Raetihi, or A. G. Me Gregor, i*iaugaweka. -
