' REBELS CLOSE THE YSHBTBE. / BRITISH AND JAPANESE FIRED ON. Shanghai, March 4. Tho Southerners have closed the Upper Yangtze River, firing on the Japanese gunboat Fushima, and a party from the British gunboats Woodcock and Kinsha. The Japanese steamer Tahung has returned to Hankow he-spattered •with bullets and with a passenger seriously injured.
