JAPANESE IN SIBERIA.
AMERICA SEEKING ASSURANCES OF ULTIMATE EVACUATION. Received March '5, 9 a.m. Now York, March 4.
The New York Times Washington correspondent reports it is semi-oflfic-iaily stated that the United States is hopeful that Japan will give assurances that it will evacuate Russian territory when the emergency has passed. Most cordial relations •exist between Japan and America, particularly since the Ishii-Lansiug treaty was signed.
