Germany lias officially informed Sweden that she is sending troops at the request of the Government to suppress the revolution. The German troops will nse the Aaiand Islands as a .halting place. Germany assures Sweden that she lias no territorial interest in the Aalamls and that she recognises Sweden’s vital interest therein.
Sweden has replied that she strongly objects to the eventual inclusion ofithelAalanus in the sphere of war operations, and emphasises that even a limited utilisation of them, according to German conditions, might create difficulties in the way of Sweden’s humanitarian work of the protection of the population of the islands. The Swedish commander at the Aalands h--s been informed that he may expect the arrival of the German ’expedition.
