The committee of the Baltic Fleet have decided to prepare the ships to tight the Finnish White Guards. At the meeting of the Rangitikei County Council on Saturday, .the Olfeairman congr.it al; ted Mr Mair on being elected . as president of the New Zealand Society of Engineers.. It certainly reflected credit on an officer of the Council in having such an honour conferred on him. Mr Mair acknowledged the 'compliment and thanked the chairman for his congratulatory remarks.
