FEILDING A. AND P. ASSOCIATION
At the meeting of the Feiiding A. and P. Association’s general committee on Friday night, MessrsBramwell and Perrett wore elected representatives on the committee o£ the Patriotic Society. Mr S. R. Lancaster having offered £5 towards providing water in the Association’s paddock, and Mr J. Knight a mill, orders were given to have a well dug. In the matter of the amusement? tax, on the motion of _Mr Haggitt, who expressed the opinion that the. Association was not liable, it waff decided to ask the Council of Agriculture to take a test case before the Supreme Court, The secretary gave a summary of the receipts "iid expenditure in connection with the Show. This indicated that financially the Show had been successful. He stated that the lady attendantsat the Sweet Still had made a profit of £6O, half of which would go to the Association. .--A vote of thanks was passed to them. A hearty vote of thanks waffpassed to Mr Banner and his boys for their assistance at the Show. The following new members were elected: —Messrs J. McDonell, R. T. Samson, G. F. Stockwell, A. Gust, D. Collis. N. H. Short, R. J. Sexton and Miss E. Shannon.
