(Per Press Association,} " 1 Gisborne, March 1. Tiie chamhermen at Kaiti Freezing "Works ceased work on Wednesday. Twenty-five men are involved. The 'Freezing Workers’ Union does not approve of the men’s step, which was taken without the Union being consulted. The Union is assisting the Company to find men to take the strikers’ places and work is being continued without interruption. It is contended the men’s action brings them Within the War Regulations. The Union was negotiating withflocal freezing companies for an increased war bonus, and a atisfactory arrangement was arrived at, the meantime th& men referred ~to ceased work. '
