The following recipe for preserving French beans has been handed to us for publication Stir enough salt in a kerosene tin three parts full of cold water until a potato will float. Then boil the water for fifteen minutes. When’the water is again cold cut the beans, and put them into the brine. Place a weight on the top in order to keep the-beans under water. , .
