The Spanish steamer Sardiuerd 9,25(» tons, was^torpedoednorthwestward of Gasahlsncu on the twenty • third. A French hydroplane discovered the crew, who were brought in by a French patrol ship to Tenerifi’e. It is reported that the BiiS>ao steamer Meguri two thousand, tons, was also sunk.
