BULLS TOWN BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Town Board was held on Monday evening, the following members being present Messrs W r alker, Edwards, Carrutbera, Trieker, and McMaiiawav, chairman. The minutes of the*previous meeting were rend and confirmed.

Correpsondence was received from the Devonport Borough Council, Mr Pargetter, and the Bank of New Zealand.

General accounts totalling £T 4s 3d were passed for payment. Messrs Trieker and Walker were appointed Works Committee for the mouth.

Mr McManawsv explained the position with regard to the proposed removal of the Town. Board offices from their present site to the rear of the new Library.

On the motion of Mr McManawav, seconded bv Mr Trieker it was decided that Messrs McElwaine Bros., tender of £35 for the removal of the Town Board building, and placing it on concrete piles at the back of the Library and the removal of the washouse to an appointed site on concrete piles with concrete floor ho accepted. For this work,.the Board will provide the gravel as per the original tender. Mr Walker moved and Mr Carruthers seconded that Messrs McElwaine Bros, tender of £35 fos coustuction of shelving be accepted.— Carried.

It was decided to transfer the sum of £4OO from the general account to the Library account and also to transfer a further sum of £l2 10s each month as from the Ist of Februarv, 1918. Arrangements were made to have the words “Bulls’ Public Library” placed on the concrete between the two chimneys of Hie new building at, an estimated cost of £4 15s. Mr Walker- moved and Mr McMauawav seconded That a concrete and iron scroll fence with a concrete path be put round the Librarj*, Works Committee to see to the matter.—Carried. When the cost of the fence is ascertained notice will bo sent to the parties interested re the side fences.

On the motion of Mr Walker seconded by Mr Trieker it was decided that Messrs McManaway and Edw r ards be appointed to procure furniture and blinds for the Library. Resolved that the shifting of furniture etc. be left to the Works Committee. The meeting then adjourned.

BULLS DOMAIN BOARD. Tnis meeting consisting of the same members was hold immediately after the Town Board meeting. Minutes of previous meeting wore read and confirmed. An account of 18s to Mr Hill was passed for payment. Mr Walker moved and Mr Tricker seconded, “That £2O be transferred to general account from Library account. This concluded the busi ness.
