WANGANUI TROTTING MEETING. Wanganui, Feb. 23, The Wanganui Trotting Club’s Meeting had glorious weather. There was a very large attendance. The totalisator handled £17,706, as against £24,249 for two days last year. Results; — Maiden.— 1 Marinotto (Deely) 1, 3 Plain Rose 2, Messines 3. Also ran: 22 Chevrolet. Won easily. Morton Memorial Stakes. —6 Lord Lytton (Deeley) i, 9 Linotype 2,2 Little Jewell 3. Also started: Lincoln Star, Kokoemoer, Oxeudale, Buck’s Head, Bushchild, El Rosa, The Weaver Won by eight lengths. Time, 2min bisec.

Kirkwood Handicap.—l Syren (W. Orange) 1, 3 Floval 3,4, Springbok,

Also ran: Lavinia, Mawhiti aud Maqueda. Won by four lengths Time, min ssec. Wanganui Cup.—Kate Zolock 1, St. Leo 3, Waiteranui. Also ran; Tim D’ooian, Gold Boy, Sweetheart, Little Hector. Kate Zolock was in front all the way*. leading from Little Hector, who in the early stages tried to pass the leader at the hack, but broke half a mile from home. Kate Zolock drew away again, winning by five lengths after a good race. Waiteranui just heat Gold Boy for third place. Time, drain 0 3-ijsec.
