BIG ENTERPRISES IN FRANCE, IMPROVING SHIPPING PROSPECTS Washington, Jan. 28. Mr N. D. Baker, U.S. Secretary for War, announced that the pine prospects are more promising. He therefore hoped to effect the transport of a million end a halt troops to France in 1918 The Americans have built six hundred miles of railroads in France, also vast terminal, and port facilities for their troops. They have even planted corn.
