Brisbane, Jan. 21. News from the flooded area is very scrappy, .but it appears there is no improvement fin the All communication is interrupted. Mackay’s fate is still unknown. Received Jan. 25, 10 a.m. Brisbane, Jan. 25. The flood waters at Rockhampton are still rising. A boat crossing the Fitrzoy capsized and nine persons were drowned. A message has been received stating that a part of Mackay has been submerged. Relief is urgently needed. There are no details of the damage, which is feared to be heavy.
