CHORE ABOUT AUSTRIAN STRIKES.
SAID TO HAVE OOIIftPSED. Received Jau. 24, 1 p.m. London. Jan. 23. The Daily Telegraph’s Milan correspondent stites that the Austrian strikes have .collapsed and work was resumed on Monday. RECEPTION OF RUSSIAN PROPAGANDIST. BY LABOUR MEETING. DENIAL OF BOLSHEVIK TYRANNY.
Loudon, Jan. 23.
A meeting in connection with the Labour Conference accorded Litvoiuoff a tremendous receptiou. The latter denied that the Bolsheviks had usurped power like a baud of conspirators. If they had been a lot of adventurers they would have beou swept away long ago by the people. More history was made at Brest Litovsk than during the three years of war. Ho did not believe that the Gorman people would continue to shed their blood for the benefit of capitalists. The Russian revolution was a revolution against •war. If peace did result from the Brest Litovsk a revolution in Germany comes within immediate possibility.
