FLOODS IN QUEENSLAND.
ROCKHAMPTON ISOLATED. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright Brisbane, Jan. 23. The floods ere extending. Rockhampton is isolated and traffic is suspended. Anxiety is felt for the fate of many settlers aud boats are being despatched. - Received Jan. 24, 9.30 a.m. Brisbane, Jan. 24. Definite news thorn Mackay is anxiously awaited. It is now certain that the town received the full force of the cyclone. The lighthouse at Flat Top was demolished. Practically all trains are stopped owing to wasffaways. The full force was felt at Rockhampton, where there is great damage and the town is completely isolated, the flood waters being inches above the record and is still rising. A woman, two children end three men were drowned;
The disturbance is now travelling west and it is feared that Clermont will again be flooded. . All the coastal shipping is sheltering-
