DAYLIGHT SAVING IN BRITAIN.
ITS ADVANTAGES REALISED. LIGHT AND HEALTH SAVED. Received Dec. 29, 11.15 a. in. London, Dec. 28. The Home Office has comunicated with Chambers of Commerce in regard to daylight saving. Replies Mbow that it is decidedly popular. There is a considerable saving of artificial light and it is neneflcial to r.iu) industrial classes, especially in the dense manufacturing centres, where there is better health. Men are spending the extra daylight outdoors, chiefly in cultivating gardens.
