AFTER WAR PLANS.
LIBERATION OF RUSSIAN TRADE. ALLIED ECONOMIC UNION. Received Dec. 28, 10 a.m. Petrograd, Deo. 27. M. Pontrowski, Foreign Minister, declared that close economic union of the Allies after the war will give freedom to Russian trade, which has been paralysed owing to commercial treaties with Germany. He added that relations with Japan were assuming the character of alliance. Japan had rendered eminent service in providing munitions and a victorious issue of the struggle was the end to which all the forces of Russia must tend. A GERMAN REPORT. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association and Reuter. London, Dec. 27. A German commuuique states: We have captured 5500 Russians during the last few days in the great Wa!lachian mountains south of Rimitcnliarat.
