SERIOUS GERMAN LOSS.

.-iTOBABLE WITHDRAWAL OF LINE

LE TBANSLOV THREATENED.

London, Oct. 20. The Daily Telegraph’s Paris correspondent says that owing to the loss of Sailly-Saillisel the Germans are hastily forming a fresh line of defences between Warlencourt and Le Translov-Sailly, but Le Trauslov is in imminent danger of capture by the British. This would probably compel the Germans to withdraw their first line 3 or 4 miles eastward of Vast wood which is virtually lost. The Germans have already removed their artillery to Vans Wood, three miles to the eastward, under a harassing French fire. SS&H
