AUSTRALIAN WOOL SALES, Melbourne, Oct. r l9. At the wool sales there was keen competition. Top price for greasy was 22d; scoured, 37%d. Brisbane, Oct. 19. The sales were from 5 per cent to 10 per cent lower than the last sales. Top for greasy was 23%d, and for scoured 38d. STOCK REPORTS. Abraham and Williams report on Marton sale held on Tuesday:—We had a very fair enlry of sheep and a small one of cattle. There was a good demand and everything changed hands at the following prices: M.s. hoggets 28s 9d to 29s 4d, black-face do. 2os, wether do. 28s to 295, ewe do. ,28s 6d, prime fat ewes 40s, springing cows £9 to £ll 12s 6d, cows and calves to £6 10s, forward cows £7 15s, poor do. £3 10s to £5. 2yr Holstein ball £9, vearling bulls £3 10s, £4 10s. Loan and Mercantile report:—At Ramnai on Tuesday we had a fair entry of stock. The Jots met with keen competition and prices were in favour of vendors. Mixed hoggets 27s to 27s 4d, empty cows £7 15s, forward cows £9 os, 2yr Shorthorn bull £8; yearling bull, £6; yearling heifers, £4; yearling steers small £5 ss.
