THE OFFENSIVE RESUMED.

STRAFING OF ROUMANIA POSTPONED.

London, Oct. 18.

The latest Bucharest telegrams report better news. The Roumanians are resuming the offensive in the Prcdaal Pass and are pursuing the enemy on the Hungarian slopes. Even the German messages via Switzerland admit the desperate Rou maniau resistance ia the passes south of Brasso.

A Vienna telegram states that great Rnsso-Roumauian forces have arrived mi all the Balkan fronts. Geuer'als Faltenhayn and Mackensen hove suspended operations and are awaiting reinforcements from other fronts and from Turkey. For the moment the German commanders have been placed upon tbe defensive.
