There was a large attendance, and the totalisator handled £12,121), as against £I2,HIM for the first day of the last Winter Meeting. Results; — Empire Hurdles, 1 miles.—9 Glenthorpe 1, 1 Kongahere 2, 3 Kilmeuy 15. Also ran: 7 Crib, 2 Bore, 4 Commotion, 8 Peerless, (5 Castiron, 10 Pure Gold, 5 Sartosta. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time, 15in 17sec. Glib won but failed to draw the weight, Trial Plate, four furlongs —(5 Placid 1, 13 Bellrock 2,2 Bomb 15.
