J. H. Catts, who has taken over the organising secretaryship of the recruiting campaign in New South Wales, states that the details of the new Commonwealth scheme will not he available until the 15th of December. Melbourne, Dec. 2. The Victorian wheat crop is officially estimated at 2053-2 million bushels. The export of butter from the Commonwealth is prohibited. Victoria is the only State manufacturing in excess of its own requirements. Newcastle, Dec. 2. Sailed—lhumata for New Zealand. Sydney, Dec. 2. A band of soldiers, inclined for riotous behaviour, again paraded the city streets last night, and threatened the German Club. The police dispersed them and there was no damage done. A caucus decided to adopt Mr Hall’s State baking monopoly Metropolitan area. In the Assembly Mr Holman stated that the Government was against the introduction of the totalisator, bui would allow a private member to introduce a Bill.
