PERSIA MAY HELP GERMANY.
AN UNFAVOURABLE OUTLOOK.
Loudon, Nov. 30,
The Novoe Yremya points out that despite the official intimations of the Persian Government that she is suppressing German intrigues, the German Minister at Teheran has not been expelled or made prisoner. The gendarmie have gone over to the enemy, and tho German officers in command are now fortifying the passes in order to defend the approaches from the Turkish frontier, Nearly all the Persian forces are concentrated at Kum Hamehar, where the Swedish and Turco-Ger-man officers are straining every effort to rupture relations and plunge Persia into war with the Allies.
GERMANY’S WAR LOANS,
STILL ANOTHER REQUIRED
Amsterdam, Nov. 30. It is reported in Germny that there will he a fourth war loan of ten milliards of marks in the middle of January. WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN. WHAT DENMARK WANTS. Copenhagen reports that rumours of a proposed return by Prussia of Schleswig to Denmark as postwar payments for neutrality, produced a German proclamation to the effect that the military position did not facilitate speculation as to Germany’s ability to give away anything. It was unfair to suppose that Denmark’s neutrality wns buyable.—Sydney Sun cable.
