A PANIC-STRICKEN POPULATION.

A French communique says scarcity and high prices of food in Germany has caused a panic. Von Hollweg announces that he will personally deal with the question. In order to meet the crisis the Federal Council has further restricted the sale of meat.

Teutonic aeroplanes attacked Venice. One bomb fell on the piazzetta of Bt. Mark’s, but did not damage the sculptured ceiling. Another church was crushed.
