The girl Parbinton, concerned in last night’s shooting affair,' was operated on during the night, but the bullet was not extracted. Her condition is improving, t 'West’s condition is still extremely critical, and he is unconscious. Later.
Owing to both victims of the shooting sensation being in a serious condition and unable to make statements, details of the Incidents.leading up to the affair are very meagre. West and Parkinson had been on intimate terms for some time,-the girl having obtained a marriage, license from the registrar, but the parties are said not to he married.. When Parkinson met West with Ford they had an altercation, and Ford tried to intervene, but without effect. West and Parkinson left him and entered a clump of Willows near by, and shortly/ afterwards shots were heard.
