Hastings, March 3. The ‘Hawke’s Bay Autumn Show opened in ideal weather, with a big attendance. The number of exhibits’ exceed those of the previous years. The judges are unanimous that the quality of the fruit excels anything yet seen in the Dominion. A novelty appears in tobacco, grown by the Hawke’s Bay Tobacco Company. The high quality of the l. af and the prolific crop indicate that the industry will be a success.
