Dalgety and Go. report having a v fair yarding of both sheep and cattle at their Mangaweka sale on Thurs- , day, 23rd instant. Competition was good throughout, and we cleared' practically every line. Small hoggets 13s Id, medium hoggets, 15a 9d to 16a 7d, good hoggets 17s 4d to 17s 9d, 2 tooth wethers 225, fat and forward wethers 23s 9d to 245, mixed age ewes in lamb 21s 7d to 25s 3d, ; fat and forward ewes 17s, tat cows £6 6s 6d, fat heifers £6 2s 6d. ■ At our Feilding sale on Friday we had a fair entry of sheep and cattle. Quotations:—Small hoggets 11s 2d to 13s, medium hcggetslss6d to 15s 7d, - best hoggets to 17s 2d, cnll ewes in lamb to 12s 6d, mixed fat sheep to 22s 6d. weaner heifers £2 3s, backward dairy heifers £3 17s 6d, backward dairy cows to £5. ; Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At Kimbolton on Wednesday, 22nd inst., we had a good yarding of sheep, cattle and horses, including several good lines on account of Mr A. I. Pettigrew, who has sold part of his property; There was a good attendance of ■ buyers and we have to report a good sale and a total clearance. Quotations;— Sheep, small lambs I2s, good mixed lambs 16s 3d, empty ewes . 14s 7d; on account of A. 1. Petti- 1 grew, mixed age ewes in lamb 24s Bd, ewe lamns 15s Bd. Cattle, . weaners small 28s to 295, store cows £3 10s to £4, forward cows £4 18s, cows in calf £4 12s 6d to £5, heifers running with bull £4. .Horses, yearling draughts £8 os to £9, ris- . ing 2 year draughts £ll 15s to £l3, rising 3 year draughts £2O 15s to £22 10s, aged draughts £l2, spring carters £ls to £l6 ss. Cattle, small weaners 28s, weaner heifers £2 3s, yearling heifers £2 14s to £2 355, empty heifers £3 to £4, store cows £3 12s 6d, speyed cojvs £5, woolisale’ Messrs Murray, Roberts and 00., Ltd., have this day received the following cablegram, dated 22ud instant, from their London friends, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co.— “Sales have closed firm, 8000 bales held over. The market for merino and fine crossbred vary firm. All other descriptions of wool shows no material change. ’’ ; .
