Received February 26, 11 a.m. London, February 25. * A section of the Pacific Cable Board strongly opposed the reduction of the rates to New Zealand. An effort was made to expunge the minute covering Mr Mackenzies’ motion, bat the Board cofirmed the minute, whereupon Sir Henry Primrose resigned the chairmanship.
