LAND BOARD.

A meeting of Wellington Land Board was held on Thursday. Pre> sent: Messrs Brodrick, Commissioner, Dawson, Ellingham, Georgetti and McLennan TRANSFERS. Mrs Walker, nee Armstrong, to K O Birkenshaw, sections 9 and 16, block 1, Ovvhango township.— Resolved to rescind former resolution of forfeiture and to recommend the transfer. J B McNeil to A J Peachey, part Sof 23, block 5, Waipakara.—Postponed for ranger’s report as to value of land taken in exchange. P J Christensen to Eva M Newell, sub-lease of section 23, block 12, Apiti. Postponed for ranger’s report. The following applications to , convert the tenure of their licenses to freehold were considered. It was resolved to approve of the following: —John O’Brien, section 2, block 2, Hautapu ; H H Buiek, sections 10 and 13, Mock 7, Pukeokahu : H Davey, jan., part 2, section 13, block 7, Umutoi W Earl applied to let his house on section 3, block T, Rangataua township, for about six months, as lie cannot get work near the land, and it was decided to approve of the application.
