From onr Own Correspondent, 'j Despite many counter attractions the dance in the Papanui Hall lastl Friday evening was well attended.. Very good music was supplied by Messrs Hitoheson and Harris and Master C. Bowick, and the gather-' ing apart from being a financial suocess was most enjoyable. In an impressive sermon here last Sunday, the "Rev. Grant Cowan, in referring to the recent celebration of Empire Day, alluded most feelingly'to the admirable qualities of our late and much beloved Queen Victoria. With much enthusiasm and true loyalty the reverend gentle- ( man preached a sermon most interestnig and impressive, and concluded with this congregation singing the National Hymn.
