REBELLION IN MEXICO.

President Madero is now fortified with a strong detachment of regular troops in the National Palace, while General Felix Diaz with a large majority of the regulars has virtual -control of the capital. The army revolted tonight, taking possession of the public Imildigns. The President fled to the Palace, which he has succeeded , in defending from the revolutionists’ as saulta. President Madoro is relying on the loyalty cf General Baquet whom he has summoned from Toluca with 1000 soldiers. The attack on the city started this morning, when General Mondragon and students of the milfciary school led the rebels to febo prison, freeing Felix Dias, nephew of the deposed President, and General Dernado Reyes, the former Secretary for War. Advancing the rebels were met by President Madero, who was commanding 1000 police and cadets.
The artillery barracks were captured after a. sanguinary battle. The plaza was strewed with the bodies of men and horses. Two hundred were killed. The President retired, fighting three engagements an route. General Gregorio, .Genera! Ruiz and five officers were executed oy the President’s orders. Received February li. 1 p.'in.
