The Budget Committee of the Reichstag considered the naval estimates of £28,370,000. Admiral Tirpitz deprecated the dragging of England into the debate on the Estimates.
Herr von Jagow, discussing the Naval Estimates, emphasised Germany's good relations with the Powers, particularly England. Admiral Tirpitz, referring to Mr Churchill's speech cabled on March Bth, declared that the nroportion of ten to sixteen between the British and German fleets would be acceptable for the next few years, and his department would not raise objection.
