ARTHUR’S PASS TUNNEL.
Per Press Association. Wellington, December 16. The question of Arthur’s Pass tunnel contract will be settled by Cabinet next week, Meantime”work is being carried on by Messrs McLean and Sons under an arrangement with Government which lasts till Christmas. [Probably Government will call tenders for completion, and if these not satisfactory it is likely the Public Works Department will complete the work.
