FLORAL FETE AT SANDON.
NEXT WEDNESDAY. An event that p !s being looked forward to with great interest is the Floral Fete arranged by workers of. St. Thomas’ Church at Sandou, which is set down to take place On Wednesday next. An excellent programme has been arranged, and it is evident by the enthusiasm displayed in the township that a large attendance of the public will favour the promoters’ efforts to provide a day’s enjoyment. The programme is a varied one, and dividedpnto four classes. Glass A is for— / Best decorated vehicle, Ist prize 80s, 2nd ss. Entry Is 6d. Best decorated bicycle (adults), 'is.t prize ss. Entry fid. Best decorated bicycle children), Ist prize 2s fid. Entry 6d. Best decorated go-cart, Ist prize 2s 6d. Entry 6d. Best decorated (hat natural flowed), Ist prize 2s fid. -Entry fid. Best decorated umbrella (natural flowers), Ist prize 2s fid. Entry 6d. Best decorated team or group of children, first prize ss, Entry fid. Class B—FLOWERS, Etc. Roses, 12 varieties. Roses, 6 varieties. Roses, 3 varieties. Champion Rose, selected from above. Button-holes, 3 (adults). Button-holes 3 (children). Lady’s Spray (adults). Lady’s Spray (children). Best collection vegetables. The prizes for Class B are from la to 3s fid, and the entrance fee is 3d. HOME INDUSTRIES. Class 0— Home-made bread. Scones, plain white 6. Scones, brown 6. Scones, sultana 6. Pastry, 6 tartlets. Sponge Roll. Seed Cake. Cream Puffs and Horns. Chocolate Cake. Biscuits, best collection. Jam Sandwich. Rich Cake. Lollies, best collection. Lollies, assorted. Butter. Hens Eggs, 12 heaviest. Prizes Is for all sections except home*made bread 2s. Threepence will be charged for each entry up to eight, after that free. COMPETITIONS.

All exhibits in Classes B and O must be on the ground by 11 a.m, on > morning of Fete, Class A at 1.30 p.m. In addition to the above there Will be tea, lollie and produce stalls, side shows, Aunt Sally, shooting gallery and races for the children, A brass band will also be in attendance.
