Harold Jarney Weston, aged 29, found guilty of tampering with a girl under four years, was described by Judge Chapman as a menace to the public, and was sentenced to seven years’ hard labour and a further term of five years’ reformative treatment. His Honour indicated plainly that he would offer no encouragement to get the prisoner released before his term expired.
