Per Press Association, Auckland, 30. Gregory, captain of the Australian Eleven, interviewed, said the Australians no doubt missed Trumper in the 'test matches, owing to his usefulness on wet wickets. Emery expressed the opinion that the present team is equal to any Australian Eleven during the past fifteen years, but not equal to the team who previously represented the Commonwealth. The following team of Marton Club have been selected to play a match on Marton ground on Saturday next, commencing at 3 p.m. Members are urgently requested to be punctual:— President’s team,— Rawsoa (captain), Thomas, Broad, Prebble, Fullerton-Smith, Cook, Anderson, Young, Lloyd, F. C. Wilson, Brathwaite, Chisholm and O. Orr. Vice-President’s - team. Wilde (captain), Arkwright, Waters, A. Signall, F. E. Wilson, Miles, Marshall, Kitcat, Macdonald, Wilkie, Openshaw and Hatherly.
