SHOOTING.
RANGITIKEI DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. The annual shoot under the auspices of Bulls Rifle Association was held at Bulls yesterday. Entries •were well up to last year’s standard, but unfortunately the weather conditions made it most uncomfortable for competitors, rain falling throughout the greater part of the day. Despite the disadvantages some excellent shooting resulted and the various matches were keenly contested. Great credit is due to Mr Clarke, who had to shoulder the bulk of the supervision. Mr E. H. Fisher, who is an old shot _ with several years’ Trentham experience, carried out the' duties of range officer in proper business style. The competitors were well pleased with ' the general arrangements and considered they had a most interesting and enjoyable gathering. -Clio business people of Bulls enter MATCH NO. 3—600 yards.
