Mr Churchill, in reply to a question, said that, according to an Admiralty order, the Torch (which it was recently stated was in an unseaworthy condition) ought to have been thoroughly inspected, but this was not done. There was ho question of grudging money J-or repairs. Lord Beresford and others failed to elicit whether there would be an inquiry. V
