ANGLO-GERMAN FRIENDSHIP.

Lord Courtney, presiding, ■, said the English had. learned to appreciate Germany s greatness, while Germany is beginning to understand England better. • Sir Oliver Lodge- said it was mischievous and erroneous to suppose that Germany’s naval expansion is directed against England. It was a shame that a small minority in either country should foment artificial hatred. . A permanent joint committee was appointed to promote friendship.
