ME SCOTT LESLIE. ' TO-NIGHT. . It is not given to every ariist to achieve the distinction which has attended the career of Mr ScotfcLeslie, who appears in the Marton Town Hall to-night, for one night only. In Loudon, where competition in artistic circles is veiy teen, and where many artists of undoubted merit find difficulty in gaining recognition, Mr Soctt Leslie is at the top of the tree. This eminent entertainer has a sheaf of testimonials from the press, all bearing tribute to his- skill and versatility.. During his Australian tour Mr Scott Leslie also made good with tiie Antipodeans across the Tasman Seas The- Melbourne Age says he is “an artist of great talent, and gave a splendid- selection of charac-ter-studies-. ” While'the New Zealand Herald say's; “Mr Scott Leslie is an entertainer whose work is a delight tolisten to. His- character sketches are remarkably clever, and presented with consummate skill.” The artists' supporting Mr ScottLeslie have been selected on the merit’of their artistic worth. Mr Oliver Harrow is-a well known baritone, who has achieved great popularity, aud Miss L„- Knight is said to be a rather delighter contralto. The pianist is Miss Daisy Evans. The plan'is now-open at Morgidge & Son’s. BENEFIT' FOR BULLS SCHOOL PRIZE FUND. FULLERS’- SPECIAL PICTURE PROGRAMME. To-night at Bulls Town Hall, the Star Picture Company will screen a first-class set of Pullers’ films in aid of the Bulls District High School Fund. The programme is as follows:—“The Little Widow,” dramatic;; “ Bully of Bingo, Gulch drama; “Dr. Jeky Hand Mr Hyde,” dramatic ; ‘ ‘Blackbeard, ” dramatic; “A Modern Ananias,” comic; “Biother Bob’s Baby,” comedy; “When the Fire Bells Ring,” comic; “Little Maids of China and Japan,” scenic; and “Australian Gazette,” topical. This programme caters for all tastes and with the worthy object in view should attract a large attendance.
