FOOTBALL.

PRAISE FOR THE AUSTRALIANS. Unifeed Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received October 11,®3 p.m. ■ San Francisco, October 10. He said Australians played solely for the love of sport and Americans had much to learn in this respect. The University in 1903 adopted Rugby in preference to American football, believing it a cleaner sport, and the wisdom of such action has since been proved.
