THE MARKETS.
STOCK SALES. Messrs Dalgety & Co., Ltd., report having had a small entry of stock at their Marton sale on Tuesday which sold at following quotations: —Aged ewes with small percentage lamhs 13s 4d, small mixed hoggets to 10s 2d, backward dairy heifers £5 to £5 15s, 3 year steers £6 10s. Messrs Abraham & Williams, Ltd,, report on their Marton stock sale held yesterday: —We had a good yarding of sheep—although not quite up to advertised numbers. Good hoggets were keenly sought after, and we effected a total clearance at satisfactory prices. A small yarding of cattle came forward. We quote: —Sheep, ewe hoggets 14s lid to 17s 6d, Lincoln ewe hoggets 18s 7d, small ewe hoggets 12s lid, wether hoggets 15s 8d to 16s, medium wether hoggets 13s 7d to 14s 3d, Lincoln mixed hoggets 16s ’2d, small mixed hoggets Us 7d to 12s, empty ewes 11s 2d, forward ewes 14s, fat ewes 16s 7d to 19s, ewe and lambs 19s; cattle, dairy cows £6 3s, yearling steers £3.
