APPEAL COURT.

Par Press Association. Wellington, May 8. In the’oase of McKean v. Brice she Appeal Court dismissed the appeal with costs on the lowest scale and as from;a distance. The judgment In favour of Mr Brice was therefore upheld. Mr T. 8. Weston appeared for appellant, and Mr O. B. Collins lor respondent, Mr Brice. Reserved judgments were delivered in the oases Public Trustee, v Pilklngton, International Investment Co., Ltd. v Andrews In the former case, which was whether*an adopted daughter was entitled to residuary estate, the Court held that Mrs Filkingtou (an adopted daughter) was included and took residuary estate, In the latter case the Court held that th? determination of the Magistrate was correct, and dismissed the appeal with oosti £lO. The Appeal Court has adjourned till May 22nd.
