WARRENGATE J.O. MEETING. The above club waa favoured with lovely weather for their annual meeting, which took place on Thursday. The meeting must have been the most successful held, and the club were rewarded with a record attendance. The racing was very interesting, and some close finishes were witnessed "although some o£ the races were spoils by bad starting. Fourteeu bookmakers at £5 5s each were on the ground, and seemed to do a large amount of business. Results : Handicap Hurdles, 1 % miles.— The Leader 1, Ranter 2, Muratoa 3. Debonnairo and Lantern also ran. Won 'all out by half a length. Time, 3mln 56sec. Flying Handicap, six furlongs.— Voca J, Lsoianter 3, The Native 3. Tnl, Oleruida and Kaeanui also ran. Won easily. Time, Imin laseo. Maiden Flat, seven furlongs.—Red Star l, Seawlnd,* 2, Miss Jean 3. Also ran : St, Yenton and Lothiexe. A great race; wen by half a length. Time. Imin 37sso.
Fordeil Handicap, five furlongs.— Cletnaln 1, The Native 2, Ambergris 3, Also ran : Maori Rifle, Lowgarfcb, Stewardess, Arapato, and Young Mezona. A good race. Won by a length. Time, Iraia 4sec Warreagafce Oup, 1)4 miles- —John 1, Kauroa 2, Feu de Joie 3. Also ran r’Chase Mab, The Leader, Oastiglione,|and Newport. A great race; won by about a length. St, Patrick’s Handicap, four furlongs.—Ambergris i, Yorkshire 2, Leolanter 3. Also ran: St. Yenton, Lowgartb. Stewardess, Miss Jean, Pukerura, and Young Mazona. A good race; won by half a length. Time, 52seo. RIOOARTON TRAINING NOTES. Christchurch, March 36. Yesterday’s work on the training tracks was mostly solid exercise. Form by, Parula and Selene ran six furlongs, Form’oy finishing in front in Imin I7sec. Kilindiai galloped six furlongs in Imin 16eee. Bridge went lazily over ten furlongs. Diabolo and Osiris were taken two circuits at half speed. Sir Frisco pleased watchers greatly by the manner in which he moved, over seven furlongs. Gold Lace went nine furlongs under a strong pull. Waipaka moved freely over a circuit on the tan.
AUCKLAND R. O. MEETING. FIRST DAY. Per Frees Association. Auckland, March 36. The weather is fine, but the sky is overcast for the A.R.O. Autumn Meeting. The coarse is perfect and the attendance an average one. ReTradesmen’s Handicap, 1)4 miles. —Mananouri 1, Ruaparaha 2, Miss Advance 3. Scratched: Madam Sonlt ana Fuss. Also ran : Te Aral and Lady Patricia Great race; won by a head. Te Arai fell. Time, Imin olseo. Gore Browne Handicap, six furlongs.—Blue Garment I, Lady Francos 2, Haku 3.
