HURRICANE IN FIJI.
United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.— Copyright.. Received March 26, 10 a.m. Suva, March 25. A hurricane caused great damage in Suva, Many buildings have been wrecked and property extensively damaged. No particulars have as yst been received from country. Press Association. Dunedin, March 26. Private advice re the Suva hurricane states’that one of tho most destructive hurricanes ever experienced struck Sava at 10.30 p.m. on Thursday. The town library was unroofed and the hulk Sunlight blown ashore at Lami Greek. It is understood that the blow was general throughout the group, and that the whole banana crop was destroyed.
