FIRE.

Per Press Association. Napier, March 18. A nine-roomed dwelling at Papakura, owned and occupied by Henry Harvey, was totally destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon as the result of a dram of tar becoming ignited. The house was insured for £4OO in the National Office. The furniture is not covered by insurance. Wellington, March 18. A fire this morning destroyed the upholstery works of Ivan and Thompson. Tbe contents were not insured. The building was owned by John Meyers and insured for £9OO in Commercial Union.

If year property is not insured call at or ring up the Standard Insurance Co., Ltd., Broadway, Marton. Telephone 97. O. R. Cooke, Rangitikei District Agent. Insurances effected pomptly on the most favourable terms. —Advt.
