SCULLING.
Per Pres Association. , Christchurch, March 17,
Arnst and Wheloh are out daily but broken weather has interrupted operations to some extent. Shore watchers say this will do no harm particularly in the case of Wheloh, who may have been getting too mnch “boat.” Arnst is down to within Bibs of bis rowing weight. In the boat he has a magnificent drive but his catch is weak. Both men have been doing fast sprinting, and Wheloh is doing a great deal of solid work in addition. Arnst is taking matters more quietly and takes exercise early on the hills. Be had an accident with his boat a few days ago. While taking her out at very low tide be hit a big stone and knocked a couple of holes in the shell. Happily repairs , were easily made. Wheloh has a new boat built by Towns which fits him in every way. ..
