Daring a denes fog yesterday the Ellennau liner Arcadian bound from London to Glasgow and Basra, collided with the Federal-Boulder liner Ayrshire, which was hound from Manchester to Durban and Australia. The collision took place off .Tuakar Rock, Ireland. The Arcadian foundered in three minutes. Of the crew of 53 Lascars, 33 wh° went holow to secure their money, perished. She Ayrshire. The latter received a crashing blow forward. The vessel commenced ,to fill, and was towed, with 200 passengers. to the Harbour Refuge, Holyhead, where she was safely beached. The passengers behaved well, and there was no panic. The Ayrshire s No. 1 hold was flooded. Received January 4, a. 30 a.m. London, January 3. The Ayrshire has now taken a list, the collision bulkhead has gone and three holds ara partly filled with water. LOSS OF A STEAMER. Tho mate and ll seamen of a British steamer were lost in a storm off Oape Hatteras. The remainder of the crew were rescued.
