Per Press Association. Wellington, January 3. The second annual meeting of the Wellington. Garrison Rifle Association was concluded in flee weather at Trentham to-day, although a tricky wind prevailed. B. J. King, Opaki, won the open championship with an aggregate of SCB, and Private A. E. Turner, JO ity Rifles, won the Volunteer Championship Swith 367."Oiiher leading were: -—lf. Wiikie, Upper Hutt, 267; H. Marshall, Karori, 265; Maisey, Karori, 261; MoLachlan, Petone, 261. The Junior Championship was won by Private A. B, Joplin, Civil Service Rifles, with 344. The teams match was won by the Opaki Rifle Club with 1267, the Karori Club, 1232 being second. The Licensed Victuallers’ Cap was won by H. Marshall, Karori. Auckland, January 3.
The Auckland Rifle Association’s Championship meeting concluded today. Lieutenant Neilson, of Danuevirse, won the aggregate prize with a score of 288, Lieutenant Devore, oJ Auckland, -being second with 283. The teams match was won by the Dauuevirke Rifles with a score of 482. Akarana Rifle Club being second with 467.
TURAKINA RIFLE CLUB
The above Olnb fired .the first match for the President's trophy last Wednesday. Only a moderate number of members attended, no doubt owing to so many holidays ooraiug together. The following are the best scores, which would have been better had there not been a ‘ strong fishtail
